Just good friends

Having spent the year since the last breeding season in the surrounding countryside and having survived the crossing of roads and predators to reach the margin of Urswick Tarn, these two toads make their contribution to the spawn of both toads and frogs around the tarn.  The spawn of toads is laid in chains of eggs whilst frog spawn is laid as a globular mass.
