The Leven Viaduct railway crossing

This viaduct carries the railway line from Carnforth, which is on the main west coast line, on a loop travelling around the west coast of Cumbria to rejoin the main line at Carlisle.  The viaduct spans the tidal Leven estuary and links the Cartmel peninsula, on the far side in this photograph, with the Furness peninsula.
