Morecambe Bay & the Leven Estuary
Comment:
This seascape is taken from the shore at Cooper Lane, Bardsea at the time of a receding moderately high tide in Morecambe Bay. The calm water speaks of the windless day and the shallowness of the water over the extensive area of sand below. The land bordering the bay in the distance is the Cartmel peninsula and the more distant horizon is formed by the mountains of the English Lake District.
