Proud Past - Bleak future
Comment:
Four successive months of high rainfall caused Urswick Tarn to be at an elevated level, flooding its surrounding marl bench and lifting this decayed wreck of a rowing boat. Aided by prevailing south-westerly winds, the wreck is seen deposited in the tarn's reed bed.
