Contentment is a Gloucester Old Spot
The Gloucester Old Spot is a breed of grazing pig established as a pedigree breed in 1913. This sow is enjoying an afternoon siesta in the warm winter sun. Whilst its eyes are closed, its ears, normally lop, are erect and alert. The breed is known for their gentle disposition and this is in keeping with the consistent example set by this pig and a second Gloucester Old Spot with which it shares its grass and conifer enclosure.
