Comment:
The village of Bardsea, once home to a
fishing and agriculture community, sits on top of a drumlin
left behind by the last Ice Age. It borders the shore of
scenic Morecambe Bay which is located immediately behind the camera,
has Lake District views to the north and enjoys the open moorland of
Birkrigg Common with its many grassed path walks to the west.
What was once a pile of glacial debris now affords elevation and
added distinction to this charming Low Furness village.
