Mary E. Dobson and Margaret A. Dobson who are both referred to in this article were the eldest of John and Mary Dobson's four children, all of whom were girls; the youngest two, Isabel and Martha Helena were twins. Martha Helena went on to become, like her father, the head of Urswick Grammar School.
Throughout all of the John Dobson paper clippings it should be noted that the references to the surnames Stable and Stables are correct. They were separate families.
