The church mission room in Stainton referred to in this article has for many years been converted as a domestic dwelling.
Throughout all of the John Dobson paper clippings it should be noted that the references to the surnames Stable and Stables are correct. They were separate families.
The name Bowerbank is perpetuated in Great Urswick as the name of a house.
